The FG 2 is an incremental solid shaft encoder with an appealing price-performance ratio and is available immediately from stock. Its bearings are designed to provide higher load ratings and ensure the FG 2 offers greater reliability and a long service life. Thanks to its generously dimensioned axial terminal box the device is easy to configure with vibration-proof plug-in connectors utilizing spring cage technology. Dedicated LEDs signal when faults occur in the supply voltage as well as when the output stage is overloaded. The FG 2 is rated to protection class IP66, which means it is ideally suited for applications in salt-laden environments. It is possible to add an overspeed protection switch on request. The FG 2 is designed for a maximum speed of 7000 rpm
